This particular opportunity is located at 1814 Breton Rd SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role focuses on working in the coffee shop environment within SpartanNash’s retail store operations. It is designed for individuals who are passionate about preparing excellent coffee beverages and food items, providing efficient and courteous customer service, and performing cash register operations with professionalism and accuracy. The position involves preparing coffee shop beverages by brewing, mixing, or blending according to defined standards and handling food items with care to ensure safety and consistency. Maintaining cleanliness and operating equipment efficiently are key aspects, alongside customer engagement and communication about company programs and promotions.

The role requires managing payment transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, and gift certificates, supporting merchandise stocking and display rotation, and alerting supervisors when supplies need replenishing. A diligent approach to company policies related to security, cash handling, product handling, and sanitation is necessary to maintain the integrity and quality of the coffee shop and overall store environment. Employees also follow strict PPE, food safety, and cleaning guidelines to uphold safety standards.

Physical demands include the ability to lift and move items up to 30 pounds frequently and sometimes up to 50 pounds, standing, walking for extended periods, and frequently bending, stooping, twisting, or turning. The position exposes associates to variable retail store environments and outdoor weather conditions with moderate noise levels.
