The role available is a hands-on catering service position, essential for delivering the utmost professional service to guests and ensuring satisfaction and retention. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and can offer courteous and attentive customer service at all times. In this role, employees will be critical contributors to event success, actively participating in the preparation, execution, and breakdown of catering events. Responsibilities include reporting on time, adhering to grooming and uniform standards, following detailed instructions from supervisors, and assisting with various tasks including gathering banquet equipment, preparing garnishes, and setting tables. Maintaining an eye for detail and the ability to multitask are vital for meeting the demands of this position.
The position demands physical endurance and flexibility, as it involves repetitive manual tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for extended periods, and engaging in active movement throughout the event. Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to perform repetitive eye/hand coordination
- Daily lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs above shoulder level for up to 5 minutes
- Constant standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and handling objects
- Irregular work hours

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of six months work experience in a service-oriented environment
- Knowledge of catering services and terminology
- Strong guest service skills

Job Duties
- Report for work in proper uniform according to scheduled time
- Follow instructions given by Food & Beverage Manager and/or Banquet Captain for each event
- Assist with collecting banquet equipment including flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for events
- Assist with preparing garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads
- Assist with cleaning and filling salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, and creamers
- Help with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary
- Prepare tables with place settings as instructed
- Attend pre-function meetings for briefing of event details
- Provide friendly and courteous customer service at all times
- Remain at assigned station and perform duties as assigned
- Report any customer concerns or complaints to Banquet Captain
- Break down tables and banquet equipment after each event
- Clean and return serving pieces to proper storage
- Adhere to strict grooming standards and company policies
- Follow service standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned and necessary
