The role available is for a Bakery Associate at one of Hannaford's stores located in Scarborough, Maine. This position offers an hourly wage ranging between $15.10 and $19.65. As a Bakery Associate, you will be an essential contributor to the bakery department, carrying responsibilities that span from maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of the work environment to preparing and baking a variety of bakery products including rolls, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, and platters. This job requires teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies and safety standards to ensure a productive and safe working environment. The associate will also handle customer interactions, providing friendly service and assisting customers with product selections.

This role involves a combination of physical and technical tasks such as operating bakery equipment, maintaining product displays, and ensuring proper product rotation to manage inventory effectively. Attention to detail in sanitation and food safety procedures must be maintained at all times to meet company standards and provide customers with fresh and safe bakery items. Physical requirements for this position include the ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions, lift items weighing up to 40 pounds, and tolerate working in varying temperature conditions within the bakery area.
