The Provider Contracting Lead Analyst role at Cigna Healthcare is a cornerstone position pivotal to the success of the provider network strategy within the organization. This role entails leading ancillary provider and health system contract negotiations with the oversight of managerial and senior team members. The incumbent will be responsible for detailed financial modeling and analysis related to provider contracts, aiming to exceed planned timing and performance targets. The role requires efficient utilization of complex internal systems and processes to support contract administration while enhancing provider relationships through effective communication. Notably, the analyst will work closely with providers within their assigned market to establish, develop, and maintain collaborative partnerships that are aligned with local market strategies.

This position offers an annual salary range of $71,400 to $119,000 USD depending on experience and geographic location and is eligible for an annual bonus plan. Work-from-home options are available with specific internet connectivity requirements.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead ancillary provider and health system contract negotiations with manager and senior teammate oversight
  • perform detailed financial modeling and analysis related to provider contracts to exceed planned timing and performance expectations
  • efficiently leverage complex internal systems and processes to support provider contract administration
  • use strong verbal and written communication to strengthen provider relationships and contribute as a valued member of the external facing relationship management team
  • establish, develop, and maintain relationships with providers within assigned market to nurture partnerships supporting local market strategy
  • understand interrelationships and competitive landscape of providers in geographic area
  • understand dynamics of provider networks and support strategic positioning for provider contracting
  • assist in development of commercial networks and identify opportunities for greater value orientation
  • collaborate closely with internal teams including Provider Service, Provider Data Management, Fee Schedule Management, Regional Directors, Legal, Network Analytics, Compliance, and Sales
