This requires recruitment, retention, comprehensive training, development, and delivering candid feedback that encourages performance improvement and career growth. The Proprietor also acts as an active participant in the local community, representing Ted's Montana Grill with ownership mentality and dedication to maintaining high-quality standards and consistency in all operational areas.
Financial stewardship is another critical element of the Proprietor's position. The individual will set annual budgets, manage live profit and loss statements weekly, and collaborate closely with Culinary Managers, Chefs, and Front of House Managers to ensure operational excellence. The role demands a keen understanding of profitability management, financial reporting, inventory control, scheduling, and cost management. Job Requirements
- 5+ years as a general manager, managing partner or assistant general manager
- polished casual, upscale or fine dining experience preferred
- sustainable operational results with solid job history
- stellar business acumen including managing a profit and loss statement, scheduling, ordering and inventory
- enjoys hands-on leadership in a scratch kitchen restaurant
- ability to withstand temperatures ranging from 30 to 100 degrees fahrenheit
- able to move throughout the restaurant for up to 10-12 hours a day
- able to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs for distances up to 10 feet
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years as a general manager, managing partner or assistant general manager
- experience in polished casual, upscale or fine dining preferred
- proven record of sustainable operational results
- strong business acumen including managing a profit and loss statement
- hands-on leadership experience in a scratch kitchen restaurant
