Job Description
iHeartMedia is America’s leading audio company, recognized as the number one audio company in the nation. It boasts a monthly audience of 90 percent of Americans, which is twice the size of any other audio company and almost three times the audience size of the largest TV network. iHeartMedia’s reach and influence extend across multiple audio platforms including live broadcast radio, digital streaming, and podcasting. This extensive footprint positions iHeartMedia as a dominant force in the audio entertainment and advertising landscape, providing unparalleled opportunities for listeners, advertisers, and content creators alike.
Known for having more number one rated markets than the next two largest radio companies combined, iHeartMedia is also the largest podcast publisher in the country. Its monthly podcast downloads exceed those of the second and third largest publishers combined. Podcasting has become the fastest-growing sector in new media, outpacing streaming music services and even video streaming platforms like Netflix. Further cementing its leadership, iHeartMedia is home to many of the nation’s most popular and trusted on-air personalities and podcast influencers who build strong connections with diverse communities across America. The company also produces some of the most high-profile live music events in the country including the iHeartRadio Music Festival, iHeartRadio Music Awards, iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, and the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour. Their digital streaming service, iHeartRadio, holds the number one position in the U.S., with an expansive social media presence that is seven times larger than its closest audio competitor. Additionally, iHeartMedia boasts the only comprehensive audio advertising technology stack in the industry, which effectively combines audience reach, usage, and advanced ad tech for all types of audio content – from on-demand to live broadcast and podcasting.
At iHeartMedia, the company culture embraces diversity and inclusion, reflecting the wide array of communities it serves. The company values collaboration, curiosity, respectful dialogue, and learning from mistakes in pursuing innovation. As part of iHeartMedia, employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves and are supported by a welcoming workplace that fosters growth, creativity, and shared passion for the evolving audio industry.
The position available is part-time and based in Columbus, Ohio, located at 2323 West Fifth Avenue, Suite 200, 43204. The role is a regularly scheduled, hourly position within iHeartMedia’s Promotions & Events team. In this role, the candidate will play an integral part in planning and executing more than 20,000 local and national events annually – from concerts and community activations to live broadcasts and branded experiential promotions. The job entails working closely with radio stations, talent, clients, and multiple internal teams including sales, programming, and marketing to deliver engaging, memorable, and effective listener experiences that reinforce iHeart’s brand and client objectives.
This role requires coordinating logistics such as venue setup, staffing, signage, giveaways, and technical needs to ensure seamless event execution. The candidate will serve as the on-site lead for events, bringing professionalism, energy, and problem-solving skills to every engagement. They will interact directly with listeners and clients to foster meaningful brand connections and gather valuable feedback. Additionally, the role involves managing promotional inventory, supporting digital and social media efforts by capturing content and promoting events, and tracking performance metrics including attendance and client satisfaction.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media tools is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required as the role involves event site visits. Above all, iHeartMedia seeks team players who demonstrate respect, courtesy, and a proactive mindset, capable of following procedures effectively while escalating issues appropriately.
Candidates passionate about live events, brand marketing, and the power of audio to create dynamic experiences are encouraged to apply, even if their previous experience does not perfectly align with all job criteria. iHeartMedia is committed to cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce and values enthusiasm and dedication alongside skills and qualifications. The company provides a flexible benefits package including employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) plan, Employee Assistance Programs, and voluntary benefits to support its employees’ well-being and financial health. As an equal opportunity employer, iHeartMedia prohibits discrimination and supports lawful employment practices. This opportunity represents a chance to join a vibrant industry leader at the forefront of the audio revolution.
