Job Description
iHeartMedia is the number one audio company in America, renowned for its unparalleled reach and influence in the audio industry. Reaching 90 percent of Americans every month, iHeartMedia's audience size is twice that of any other audio company, almost three times that of the largest TV network, and nearly four times that of the largest ad-supported music streaming service. Established as a leader in radio, podcasting, and live events, iHeartMedia operates in multiple markets and has more number one rated markets combined than the next two largest radio companies. The company is the largest podcast publisher in the country, drawing more monthly downloads than the second and third largest podcast publishers combined. This highlights their dominance in the fastest-growing segment of new media, where podcasting now surpasses streaming music services and platforms like Netflix in monthly users.
The company is home to many of the nation’s most popular and respected on-air personalities and podcast influencers, providing listeners with trusted voices that build strong connections within communities across the United States. iHeartMedia is also the producer of some of America's most popular branded live music events including the iHeartRadio Music Festival, iHeartRadio Music Awards, iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, and the Jingle Ball Tour. Additionally, iHeartRadio stands as the number one streaming radio digital service in the U.S., boasting a social media footprint that exceeds competitors by seven times. Furthermore, iHeartMedia offers the only complete audio ad technology stack in the industry, integrating data, targeting, and attribution capabilities for all audio formats, from broadcast radio to on-demand streaming and podcasting. This advanced technology empowers the company to deliver success for clients with an efficient, targeted approach.
At iHeartMedia, the commitment to diversity is foundational. The company fosters a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that values curiosity, respectful dissent, acceptance of mistakes as learning opportunities, and respect for every individual. This dedication extends to creating programming that reflects the diverse communities they serve. iHeartMedia also welcomes candidates from varied backgrounds and encourages applicants even if their experience doesn’t align perfectly with the job requirements.
This role is part-time, hourly, and based in Austin, Texas, with the office located at 5001 Plaza On the Lake, Suite 105. The position is regular in its nature, offering a flexible work environment tailored for those passionate about contributing to the dynamic world of audio and live events.
As a vital member of iHeartMedia's Promotions & Events team, you will be instrumental in shaping how audiences experience the power of audio through real-life events. With over 20,000 local and national events annually, the team's mission is to bring radio stations, talent, and clients to life through memorable and engaging experiences. This role involves the meticulous planning and seamless execution of local events and promotions including concerts, community activations, and live broadcasts that align with station branding and client objectives. You will coordinate logistics such as venue setup, staffing, signage, giveaways, and technical details; collaborate across sales, programming, and marketing departments to develop comprehensive promotional campaigns that enhance listener engagement and drive revenue; and serve as the on-site lead for events, ensuring smooth operations while representing iHeartMedia with professionalism and vibrant energy.
Moreover, you will engage with audiences and clients to foster memorable interactions and gather valuable feedback. Organizing and maintaining promotional inventory will be part of your responsibilities as well, ensuring all materials are prepared and transported efficiently. Additionally, the role involves supporting digital and social media efforts by capturing event content and disseminating it across platforms, tracking, and reporting event performance metrics such as attendance, engagement, and client satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility to work nontraditional hours, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with social media and content creation tools. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential. iHeartMedia offers a robust benefits package that caters to the diverse needs of its workforce, including employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision plans, a 401K plan, an Employee Assistance Program, and various voluntary programs. This dynamic environment provides countless opportunities for growth, impact, and contribution to a leading audio company dedicated to innovation, community connection, and diversity.
