Job Description

iHeartMedia is the number one audio company in America, reaching 90 percent of Americans every month. With a monthly audience twice the size of any other audio company, iHeartMedia eclipses the largest TV network and the largest ad-supported music streaming service with ease. The company is a leader in the audio space, boasting more number one rated markets than the next two largest radio companies combined. It stands as the largest podcast publisher, with more monthly downloads than its closest competitors combined, highlighting its dominant position in the fastest-growing new media segment. iHeartMedia is home to many of the country’s most popular and trusted on-air personalities and podcast influencers, forging important connections with hundreds of communities across the United States. The company also creates and produces some of the most popular and well-known branded live music events in America, including the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, and the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour. Its digital presence is unmatched as the number one streaming radio digital service in America, supported by a social media footprint that is seven times larger than the next largest audio service. The company combines strong leadership in audience reach, usage, and ad technology to provide powerful tools and insights for sales teams, making it an efficient and effective choice for clients aiming to build their brands through audio.

At iHeartMedia, the focus on diversity and inclusion is central to its corporate values, embracing collaboration, curiosity, and respect for all individuals. The company culture encourages innovation and celebrates the learning that comes from making mistakes in pursuit of new ideas. iHeartMedia’s commitment extends to providing programming that reflects the diverse communities it serves, making it an authentic agent of representation in the audio media landscape.

This role is part time, located in Greenville, SC, at 101 N Main St, Suite 1000. It offers hourly pay and the opportunity to be part of a team that helps deliver over 20,000 local and national events annually. Events are a core pillar of the iHeartMedia brand and have become key touchpoints connecting the company with listeners and clients alike. As part of the Promotions & Events team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the audience experience by bringing radio stations, on-air talent, and clients to life through unforgettable, high-quality events.

The event coordinator will support the planning and execution of various local events and promotions aligned with station branding and client objectives, including concerts, community activations, and live broadcasts. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics such as venue setup, staffing, signage, giveaways, and technical needs while collaborating with sales, programming, and marketing teams to develop integrated promotional campaigns that drive both listener engagement and revenue. The role also involves serving as the on-site lead during events, ensuring smooth execution while representing the company with professionalism and positive energy. Additionally, the role includes engaging with listeners and clients to foster strong brand interactions, maintaining promotional inventory, and supporting digital and social media efforts to enhance event visibility and impact. This work environment calls for strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as events require. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media content creation tools are advantageous. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.

Candidates are encouraged to apply even if their experience does not perfectly align with the job description, as iHeartMedia values diversity, inclusivity, and authenticity in building its workforce. The company ensures equal opportunity employment with no tolerance for discrimination based on any legally protected status. Additional benefits include employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401K plan, an Employee Assistance Program offering counseling and legal/financial consultation, and several voluntary programs such as spending accounts and student loan refinancing. This position is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about audio and event marketing who want to contribute meaningfully to a leading brand in the media industry.
