Job Description
iHeartMedia is the leading audio company in America, known for its extensive reach and influential presence in the audio industry. Reaching 90 percent of Americans every month, iHeartMedia’s audience is twice the size of any other audio company and nearly four times the size of the largest ad-supported music streaming service. The company operates in more number one rated markets than the next two largest radio companies combined, making it the undisputed leader in radio broadcasting. iHeartMedia is also the largest podcast publisher, with monthly downloads that surpass the combined totals of the second and third largest publishers. This dominance extends into the realm of podcasting, the fastest-growing new media sector, which now boasts a larger monthly user base than streaming music and video services such as Netflix.
iHeartMedia is home to many of the country’s most popular and trusted on-air personalities and podcast influencers. These personalities help build strong connections with communities across the United States, creating genuine engagement through various audio platforms. The company is also responsible for producing some of the most widely recognized branded live music events in America, including the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, and the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour. These events symbolize the company’s deep involvement in the music industry and its commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences to audiences nationwide.
In the digital space, iHeartRadio stands as the number one streaming radio service in America. The company’s social media presence is unmatched in the audio sector, with footprints seven times larger than the next largest audio service. Moreover, iHeartMedia boasts the industry’s only complete audio advertising technology stack, capable of serving all forms of audio content from on-demand to broadcast and streaming radio, as well as podcasting. This technology provides detailed data, targeting, and attribution tools that enable the company’s sales force to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions for advertisers.
With a commitment to diversity and inclusion, iHeartMedia reflects the communities it serves both in its programming and its workforce. The company values a collaborative culture where curiosity, respect, and the acceptance of mistakes in the pursuit of innovative ideas are fundamental. iHeartMedia is dedicated to creating an authentic workplace environment that embraces diversity and encourages passionate teammates who are excited about contributing to the future of the audio industry.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Promotions Assistant to join the promotions and marketing departments at iHeartMedia’s El Paso, TX location. This is a part-time hourly position with a regular schedule, offering an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic team that plans and executes exciting promotional events and marketing strategies. The Promotions Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the execution of various promotions such as remotes, live events, and van appearances, ensuring the activation and engagement of audiences.
The role involves coordinating contest prize inventories, managing prize fulfillment, and preparing necessary documentation such as release forms. Setting up and breaking down event equipment, including audio gear and promotional tents, is a key element of the job. The Promotions Assistant also actively participates in event activation through interactive games and music, engaging directly with attendees to create memorable experiences. Driving promotional vehicles as required is another responsibility, requiring an excellent driving record and the ability to manage transportation logistics effectively. This position demands physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Ideal candidates will have experience with Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and various social media platforms to support event promotion and documentation. At iHeartMedia, employees benefit from a flexible and comprehensive benefits package, including employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401K plan, and an Employee Assistance Program that offers counseling and support services. Additional voluntary programs, such as spending accounts and student loan refinancing, are also available.
