Job Requirements

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members
  • Associates degree in business or related field preferred
  • Excellent administrative skills and abilities
  • One-year supervisory experience preferred
  • Sales and/or community experience necessary
  • Must understand statistics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Responsible, detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • General knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint and Access, as well other software programs
  • Knowledge of casino player tracking systems preferred
  • Ability to compose correspondence, manage schedules and projects
  • Must possess good time management, organization and recordkeeping skills
  • Must possess the ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Effectively interface and coordinate activities involving employees and/or guests and work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere, work independently and handle projects on an individual and/or group basis
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming Regulatory Commission key gaming license

Job Duties

  • Supervises all day to day casino promotions and events as they relate to pro-forma and implementation
  • Provides all required reports for and on behalf of the Promotions and Events division in a dutiful and timely manner and according to Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel specifications including but not limited to revenue, expenses, labor, business volumes and statistics, regulations, and assets
  • Adheres to all gaming, state, federal and local ordinances as specified
  • Works with Promotions and Events Manager to develop and implement innovative Player’s Club programs, promotions and property wide entertainment
  • Assists Promotions and Events Manager with the development and implementation of the Promotions and Events annual budget
  • Works with all internal departments to maximize collaboration
  • Responsible for inter-departmental and internal communication/notification for all promotions and events activities
  • May work shifts that staff members have vacated due to illness, no-show or other such contingencies
  • Participates in selection, training and scheduling of departmental staff, off-site help and temp employees, to include contract labor
  • Performs other duties as assigned
