Job Description
Getinge is a global leader dedicated to providing hospitals and life science institutions with innovative products and solutions designed to improve clinical outcomes and optimize workflows. With a workforce exceeding 12,000 employees and a presence in over 135 countries, Getinge is committed to making life-saving technology accessible to more people worldwide. Their offerings span several critical healthcare areas, including intensive care, cardiovascular procedures, operating rooms, sterile reprocessing, and life sciences. This dynamic and diverse organization fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, pushing the boundaries of medical technology to support healthcare providers in delivering the highest quality care.
The Project Manager role within Getinge focuses on managing Surgical Workflows Full Line (SWF) product lines, which encompass infection control equipment and surgical products such as sterilizers, washers, sinks, lights, booms, fixed tables, and related accessories. This position is crucial for planning and overseeing all aspects of project execution—from order entry through to installation completion—ensuring operational efficiency, financial accountability, high-quality outcomes, and exceptional customer satisfaction. With an annual salary range of $97,000 to $120,000 and a 10% short-term incentive plan (STIP), this in-person role offers a rewarding career opportunity.
A Project Manager at Getinge is responsible for coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, developing and managing project timelines, monitoring budgets to meet profit margin targets, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Key responsibilities include staffing determination and scheduling for installations, overseeing the integration schedule, managing external contractors, and ensuring installation quality. The role involves regular site visits and inspections to verify project readiness and adherence to technical drawings and manufacturer guidelines. Close communication with sales representatives, logistics, supply chain teams, and service departments is fundamental to ensure seamless project delivery and successful project turnover.
This role demands a hands-on approach, as the Project Manager may need to perform installations and testing to guarantee equipment operability before warranty service begins. Maintaining detailed project documentation using the Project Management Tool, conducting design drawing reviews, and supporting sales efforts to expand Getinge's market presence are all integral parts of the role. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders while navigating technical, operational, and commercial challenges.
Applicants must be prepared to travel up to 75%, reflecting the onsite nature of project locations and customer demands. The position also requires physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds. Getinge supports their professionals in maintaining competency through training seminars, on-the-job programs, and continuous product education, cultivating a work environment that promotes personal and professional growth. Overall, this is a career path for motivated individuals passionate about making a difference in healthcare delivery through effective project management and teamwork.
