Job Description

Our client is a rapidly growing commercial contractor based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Established just five years ago, this company has quickly positioned itself as a reputable force in the local construction market, particularly recognized among the top 10 general contractors in Indiana. They specialize in a variety of sectors including retail, restaurant, light commercial, and tenant improvement projects. The company prides itself on its fast-paced work environment and its deeply rooted commitment to maintaining strong client relationships. Led by a President who boasts over 20 years of experience in local construction, the company offers a unique family-oriented atmosphere that stands out from larger, corporate construction firms. The culture prioritizes flexibility, autonomy, and open communication, granting employees direct access to leadership and an opportunity to shape the company's future.

Joining this organization means becoming part of a tight-knit team comprising project managers, superintendents, and support staff who thrive on collaborative work and variety. It is an ideal setting for construction professionals who value hands-on involvement in smaller projects and appreciate the impact they can make in a growing company. Employees benefit from a workplace that encourages growth, innovation, and efficiency with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The role available is that of a Project Manager, where you will have the exciting opportunity to lead high-profile local projects primarily focused on light commercial and retail builds. As a Project Manager, you will act as the central point of contact for clients, design teams, and subcontractors, ensuring all aspects of the project meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves managing every phase of the project life cycle from contract execution to closeout, including handling RFIs, change orders, and submittals by leveraging modern project management tools such as Procore.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the leadership team as the company continues to secure more projects and expand into new sectors, contributing directly to the company’s growth trajectory. You will partner with estimating and procurement teams during the preconstruction phase, supporting continuous improvement and efficient project delivery. Projects you will manage typically range from three to five million dollars and beyond, all sourced from a solid and growing local pipeline.

This full-time permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $120,000 per year along with a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include dental, health, vision, and life insurance, four weeks of paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and a strong, transparent bonus structure. The company also provides a monthly car allowance or offers a truck, enhancing the convenience and mobility of their project managers.

Overall, this is a prime opportunity for experienced construction professionals looking to work in a supportive, empowering, and dynamic environment that rewards expertise and dedication. If you are a client-focused project manager with deep knowledge of commercial construction and a passion for quality and collaboration, this role in Indianapolis offers an excellent platform to elevate your career within a growing and well-respected company.
