Project Manager - Restaurant Construction

The role offered is a permanent position based in Miami, Florida, with an attractive salary range of USD 110,000 to USD 140,000 per year. As a Project Manager, you will be at the helm of managing multiple high-end hospitality and restaurant construction projects. Your leadership will be critical throughout all phases, from preconstruction and planning through execution and closeout. This role entails developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and human resource allocations to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects. You will actively lead coordination meetings and collaborate closely with clients, architects, consultants, designers, and subcontractors to monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and guarantee that all deliverables meet the stipulated contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.

Key responsibilities include participating in estimating, budgeting, and constructability reviews, as well as overseeing subcontractor selection and contract negotiations. You will also coordinate permitting activities to ensure adherence to local South Florida building codes and regulations. Financial management is a major component of this position, involving budget oversight, cost reporting, forecasting, and handling change orders to maximize project profitability. Additionally, you will manage client relationships and serve as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining exceptional communication and customer service standards.

In the construction operations domain, you will work in tandem with Superintendents to synchronize field activities with project goals and manage the procurement of essential materials and equipment, including long-lead items and specialty finishes. The role demands a strong emphasis on maintaining safety standards, quality assurance, and company policies. You will also be responsible for coordinating final inspections, punch list completion, commissioning, and ensuring smooth project closeouts.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and possess over five years of project management experience within a commercial general contracting setting. Experience managing high-end restaurant, hospitality, or hotel projects is essential, along with proficiency in commercial construction methods, project management software, and an ability to interpret construction drawings and contracts effectively. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout South Florida project sites are mandatory.

Preferred qualifications include experience managing projects ranging from $2 million to over $25 million, knowledge of South Florida permitting and building codes, and prior work with luxury hospitality brands or boutique hotel developers. Certifications such as OSHA 30 and LEED accreditation or sustainability-related experience will be considered strong assets.
