Job Description

This permanent position based in Miami, Florida offers a competitive salary range of USD130,000 to USD150,000 per year, reflecting the candidate's experience and skills. As a Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading impactful public-sector projects across the South Florida market. The role involves managing K-12, higher education, civic, and other public-sector construction projects from the preconstruction phase through to project turnover. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control to ensure successful project delivery.
The Site Manager acts as the primary point of contact for owners, design teams, and inspectors, facilitating communication and ensuring all project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders, is meticulously reviewed and managed. Safety compliance and adherence to quality standards on site are critical responsibilities, alongside coordinating subcontractors and negotiating scopes of work. Leading meetings with owners, architects, contractors, internal teams, and subcontractors is also a regular part of this role to ensure smooth project progression.
Additionally, as Site Manager, you will conduct site walks to monitor progress and verify milestones are met on time and within budget parameters. The role also involves managing the closeout process, including punch lists and warranty administration. Mentorship of junior project managers, assistant project managers, and project engineers is encouraged, supporting the development of the next generation of leaders within the organization.
The successful applicant will bring 5-10+ years of experience managing public-sector commercial construction projects, an in-depth knowledge of public procurement processes, permitting, inspections, and Florida building codes. Familiarity with ground-up construction, sitework, and MEP coordination is essential, along with proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple project priorities proactively are vital traits for success.
