The Field Project Manager-Live Events is a critical onsite role responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of equipment and logistics during large-scale live events such as music festivals, stadium tours, and sporting events. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, capable of managing the load-in, show days, and load-out of events while ensuring seamless operations and the optimal functionality of Sunbelt equipment. The Field Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact onsite, managing labor crews, coordinating both Sunbelt and third-party trucking, and responding to issues in real-time to maintain a world-class customer experience. This role demands strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to troubleshoot technical or logistical problems quickly and effectively. Additionally, the Field Project Manager must handle safety protocols, conduct site visits, maintain detailed event documentation, and keep internal teams and clients informed throughout the event lifecycle. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,680 to $117,810, with travel comprising approximately 75% of the work schedule, which follows a multi-week on/off arrangement depending on business needs. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience managing on-site live events production
  • preferred experience in the equipment rental industry
  • strong knowledge of event logistics and site management
  • proficiency with company systems and Microsoft Office
  • ability to interpret technical documents and schedules
  • flexibility for travel, evenings, and weekends
  • valid driver’s license
  • CPR/First Aid and OSHA 10 certifications

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing on-site production for live events such as concerts, festivals, or corporate events
  • experience in the equipment rental industry preferred
  • strong understanding of event logistics and site operations
  • proficiency in Sunbelt systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • ability to read and interpret site plans, technical drawings, and production schedules
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required

Job Duties

  • Manage logistics and service coordination for up to 150+ pieces of equipment
  • travel 75% of the time on a multi-week on/off schedule
  • oversee power HVAC or heavy equipment operations or service
  • ensure proper working condition of various equipment including generators, forklifts, utility vehicles, and light towers
  • act as primary on-site contact coordinating labor and service teams and customer interactions
  • conduct site visits and advance assessments for event readiness
  • lead on-site safety protocols including daily safety meetings
  • troubleshoot and resolve technical and logistical issues during events
  • collaborate with project supervisors, coordinators, and operational managers
  • maintain accurate event documentation and equipment inventory
  • communicate real-time updates to internal teams and clients
  • professionally interact with customers via multiple communication channels
  • exercise strong leadership with effective delegation and communication
  • remain flexible with assignments and schedules
