Job Description

Our client is a well-established Indianapolis-based general contractor that has grown into a $300 million plus business by emphasizing strong client relationships and delivering high-quality, strategically selected construction projects. This company values collaboration within its project teams and maintains a loyal customer base through consistent, excellent work in the Indianapolis market, serving nearby communities such as Noblesville, Fishers, and Greenwood. With an annual revenue nearing $400 million, this financially stable organization operates primarily on local projects typically ranging from $20 million to $50 million, with an ambitious focus on larger $100 million plus opportunities. The company maintains a commercial pipeline robustly filled through 2029, offering a secure and dynamic working environment for its employees.

This role is for a Project Manager who will lead large-scale commercial, healthcare, and education ground-up construction projects from inception through completion. Reporting directly to the Director and President of Construction, the Project Manager will serve as the primary contact for clients, design teams, and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The position requires managing contracts, RFIs, change orders, and submittals using modern project management tools such as Procore and MS Project. This role also involves close collaboration with the estimating and procurement teams during the preconstruction phase and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects ranging from $20 million and upward, within a strong $500 million plus commercial pipeline, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the company's high standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of construction project management experience, particularly in ground-up new construction, and demonstrate a proven ability to successfully manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relations. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, permitting processes, and construction methodologies is critical; prior experience in estimating or field supervision is considered a plus. This permanent position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and offers a competitive annual salary range of $125,000 to $150,000, with an all-in package exceeding $170,000.

Alongside salary, the company offers an attractive benefits package that includes dental, health, vision, and life insurance, four weeks of paid time off, a competitive sign-on bonus, and a monthly car allowance or a company-provided truck. This comprehensive package underscores the company’s commitment to employee welfare and job satisfaction. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment where strategic project selection and execution lead to sustained business success and personal career growth.

MPI, the recruiting agency handling this opportunity, commits to equal employment opportunities and encourages applications from minorities, women, people with disabilities, protected veterans, and all other qualified candidates. This reflects the firm’s dedication to diversity and inclusion within the construction sector.
