Marion Polk Food Share is a regional food bank dedicated to uniting community members to combat hunger and its root causes in Marion and Polk counties. As a vital nonprofit organization, the Food Share collects and distributes nutritious food to children, adults, and seniors through more than 70 partner programs. Job Requirements

  • Must review and agree to Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Code of Ethical Standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen excluding THC and full background check including eligibility to work with vulnerable populations
  • Must pass driving record check and be insurable through Marion-Polk Food Share’s vehicle insurance policy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Experience identifying and safeguarding confidential information and materials
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant full-time work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fundraising experience
  • Capital campaign experience
  • Project management experience
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Serve as project manager for all aspects of the capital campaign including preparation, implementation, evaluation, and completion
  • Facilitate campaign communication within the Development team and among all Food Share departments
  • Facilitate communication with campaign counsel and government relations agency
  • Gather information for campaign materials and review, evaluate, and provide feedback on materials
  • Coordinate campaign activities and events
  • Organize and monitor staff and volunteer assignments and follow-up
  • Prepare and send campaign correspondence to donors and community members
  • Track campaign budget, progress toward goals, outstanding proposals, recognition opportunities, and other key campaign information
  • Schedule and prepare meetings, record key decisions, track action items, and follow up to ensure completion of tasks
  • Maintain campaign calendar and communicate key dates to stakeholders
  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Development including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, drafting and proofreading correspondence, supporting onboarding, coordinating team projects and managing expense documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
