Job Description
Dexterra Group is a renowned company with a legacy spanning over 75 years, recognized for its unwavering commitment to supporting critical infrastructure and built assets that are integral to societal functioning. The group evolved from independently operating companies that joined forces to provide exceptional services, leveraging a blend of extensive experience and regional expertise. This collaboration enables Dexterra Group to offer clients comprehensive solutions that optimize their operational efficiency and productivity. The company prides itself on its passionate workforce, which is dedicated to delivering superior results across diverse service areas.
The Project Manager position is a pivotal role situated at a state-of-the-art Dexterra workforce accommodations facility. This role holds complete responsibility for the management, direction, and operational success of a rapidly expanding workforce accommodations construction operation. Initially launching with approximately 500 rooms, the facility is set to scale swiftly to 2,000 rooms. This growth trajectory calls for a highly experienced senior leader with proven capabilities in managing complex hospitality or accommodation environments.
The Project Manager will oversee several critical service lines, including facilities maintenance, hospitality and accommodation services, and construction completion. This role demands strategic leadership combined with hands-on project management skills to ensure top-notch operational performance. The incumbent will be instrumental in building, motivating, and guiding a high-performing, service-oriented team that prioritizes safety, guest satisfaction, and client contentment.
The position is classified as safety-sensitive, necessitating compliance with drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work testing as part of the employment conditions. This highlights the organization’s stringent commitment to maintaining a safe workplace environment.
Responsibilities include providing leadership and accountability for daily site operations and long-term performance, ensuring exceptional client and guest experiences via consistent, high-quality hospitality services. The Project Manager is tasked with upholding company standards related to food quality, service consistency, cleanliness, and health and safety programs. Furthermore, this role collaborates closely with Human Resources to lead recruitment, onboarding, and employee performance management initiatives.
Financial stewardship is a core component, encompassing revenue forecasting, budget development, cost control, and ensuring profitability through disciplined financial practices. The Project Manager will design and implement staffing plans that align with client forecasts and operational demands, maintaining smooth operations across departments by delegating and directing effectively. Acting as the primary liaison with clients, this role ensures that operational outcomes meet or exceed expectations.
Success in this role requires a blend of operational leadership acumen, financial expertise, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-complexity environments. The Project Manager must be a proactive and empathetic leader, dedicated to service excellence and adept at managing teams during periods of scaling and growth. Dexterra Group offers an inclusive workplace that values diversity and equity, inviting qualified candidates to contribute to their mission of operational excellence in workforce accommodations management.
