The role being offered is a Project/Task Manager position supporting USSTRATCOM (U.S. Strategic Command), a pivotal Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and essential enterprise IT services that underpin national security. USSTRATCOM oversees critical capabilities such as the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments. This role will be part of the SCITLS team, which ensures mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support within classified environments including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR.

As a Project/Task Manager for GDIT at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, you will manage individual projects by serving as the primary interface and point of contact with technical leads, stakeholders, and representatives, ensuring seamless communication and project coordination. You will track project changes, assist in the annual and as-needed updates of the Project Management Plan (PMP), and implement day-to-day project operations across multiple disciplines including engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative support. A crucial part of your work will be developing and enforcing a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to organize project tasks effectively. Reporting to leadership on local project status and milestones will be one of your key responsibilities.

This position requires a strong background in IT and Department of Defense project management along with recognized certifications such as ITIL 4 or 5 Foundation and PMP. Experience in agile project management and familiarity with zero trust reference architectures is highly desirable. The employee must hold a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and be a U.S. citizen. The role is critical to supporting GDIT’s mission to deliver innovative and secure technology solutions that enhance national defense capabilities.

Salary for this role ranges from $101,150 to $136,850 annually, based on experience and other factors. Job Duties

  • Manage efforts and activities of individual projects serving as interface and POC with leads stakeholders and representatives on technical and project issues
  • Track project changes and assist Program Manager in ensuring the PMP is updated annually at a minimum and as project changes occur
  • Implement and manage daily project operations by implementing procedures planning and directing execution of technical multidisciplinary engineering programming maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress
  • Ensure the development and use of a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) across tasks
  • Prepare reports and brief leadership on local project status and milestones as requested
