Job Description

Chimes is a purpose-driven organization committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing meaningful employment and services through various contract operations. Established as a leading provider in this specialized field, Chimes is dedicated to excellence and compassionate support, fostering an inclusive environment that respects and empowers all individuals it serves. As part of its ongoing commitment to quality service delivery and community engagement, Chimes operates multiple government and private contracts that require meticulous administration to meet and exceed client expectations. The company embraces innovation, sustainability, and regulatory compliance, while nurturing a workplace culture grounded in ethical standards, teamwork, and personal growth. With comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career advancement, Chimes strives to hire professionals who are not only skilled but also passionate about making a difference in the community. This role is designated as essential, meaning employees in this position may be required to remain at work during institutional emergencies to protect and sustain facility operations.

The role of Custodian Contract Administrator at Chimes involves administering all aspects of the custodian contract at an assigned site, ensuring high standards of service and adherence to contractual obligations. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $27.44 USD per hour and follows a Monday to Friday shift schedule from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. The ideal candidate will require strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to working with persons with disabilities, along with a commitment to maintaining positive relationships with government facility staff and other stakeholders.

In this role, the Custodian Contract Administrator oversees day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, training, and quality control, while ensuring compliance with contract specifications and agency policies. The successful candidate will conduct regular inspections, respond to service requests, analyze operational challenges, and implement solutions to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position also involves training supervisors, managing budgets for payroll and supplies, and coordinating maintenance and floor care services. Additionally, the administrator must ensure safety procedures and regulations are followed rigorously and keep current all safety data sheets and chemical lists.

The role demands a proactive leader capable of hiring, evaluating, and supervising a diverse workforce, many of whom may have disabilities. The administrator must also work closely with human resources and external agencies to support employee development and retention. Given the essential nature of this position, responsiveness within one hour during normal hours and two hours after hours to contracting officer requests is required.

The Custodian Contract Administrator is responsible for maintaining thorough records, including time studies, evaluations, and employee communications, while fostering a work environment that complies with dress code, personal hygiene, and security policies. Functioning as a supervisor when necessary, this role demands a high level of flexibility, ethical standards, and a dedication to quality and customer service. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work setting with possible changes in duties and responsibilities as needed, reflecting the evolving nature of contract requirements and operational priorities.

Chimes values candidates who bring a blend of practical experience, regulatory knowledge, bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English preferred), and technical skills involving electronic tracking systems such as MAXIMO, SAMS, TAMS, and JAMS. CPR and first aid certification are also preferred. This position offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, life and disability insurance, paid time off, retirement plans with employer match, and employee incentive programs, making it a rewarding career opportunity for skilled professionals dedicated to service excellence and community impact.
