Job Description
Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is the largest privately held provider of facility services in North America, servicing over 2 billion square feet of space daily. This market leader is dedicated to helping industry leaders across a wide variety of key verticals including retail, industrial and logistics, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and more. KBS prides itself on maintaining clean, efficient, and welcoming spaces that help support the day-to-day operations of its clients. The company is known for its culture grounded in respect, opportunity, and pride in service, providing a solid foundation for career growth and development. KBS offers a dependable work environment and values team members who are dedicated, reliable, and eager to contribute to its mission.
The Project Crew Member role at KBS is an immediate full-time, permanent position ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety and facility maintenance. This role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance responsibilities that contribute directly to the safety, cleanliness, and overall quality of workspaces across multiple industries. Project Crew Members work flexible shifts with schedules varying between days and nights, including weekends. Specific shifts include early morning hours from 3:30 am to 10:00 am, and the starting pay for this role is $20.00 per hour.
The job responsibilities for the Project Crew Member are diverse and hands-on, including cleaning hard surface floors using methods such as sanitizing, scrubbing, stripping, and finishing, as well as operating specialized equipment for carpet extraction and steam cleaning. Crew members also perform tasks like window washing, pressure washing floors and buildings, minor wall repairs, trash removal, restroom servicing, and maintenance of furniture and fixtures. They also dust furniture, machines, and walls, and notify management about any major repair needs. The role demands occasional extensive driving within a radius of four to five states, with potential overnight shifts required, underscoring the importance of flexibility and travel readiness.
KBS emphasizes the importance of safety and detailed care in all of its facility services. Candidates for the Project Crew Member position should have prior experience in building and warehouse cleaning, knowledge of proper floor care techniques for multiple floor types, and the ability to travel and work varied shifts. Maintaining a valid driver license and being able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and chemical handling documents are essential requirements.
Joining KBS means not only development in a nationally recognized facility services company but also access to important employee benefits. These include affordable limited medical insurance with virtual physician access via Coterie, a 401k enrollment with company matching after one year and 1000 hours worked, Quick Pay options for hourly employees, and Perkspot discounts on various lifestyle categories such as travel, gyms, cell phones, and dining. KBS values diversity, offering equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or other protected statuses. The company also provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act and relevant state laws.
