Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in project coordination or management
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in using project management software and databases
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience in project coordination or management preferably in academic or research settings
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in managing databases and digital documentation
  • Familiarity with grant procedures and reporting requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Experience supporting faculty and educational programs

Job Duties

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations for cancer research training and education programs and special education grant initiatives
  • Manage participant and student logistics including recruitment communications, onboarding, orientation, paperwork, stipend coordination, conference registration, and travel support
  • Maintain project documentation, shared files, databases, and tracking systems for program implementation, evaluation, progress tracking, and federal reporting
  • Support faculty and postdoctoral development by tracking and distributing funding opportunities, maintaining grant-writing resources and templates, coordinating proposal reviews, and managing internal pilot funding processes
  • Schedule and organize meetings, educational sessions, doctoral seminars, advisory board meetings, and other program activities including preparation of materials and follow-up
  • Coordinate training and event logistics including space, speakers, materials, attendance tracking, and program continuity
  • Provide general administrative and program support including copying, scanning, and related tasks
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
