Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in event coordination
  • Excellent public speaking and people skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Job Duties

  • Scheduling of all events by coordinating dates for use of community facilities with management before engaging entertainment
  • Book events such as wine tastings, non-profit organizations, clubs, and other groups
  • Negotiate and engage signed contracts for entertainment, theme events, and educational symposiums by obtaining all pertinent accounting and contact information
  • Promote events by securing publicity materials for newsletters, fliers, and eblasts ensuring timeliness
  • Manage promotional materials including signs, posters, and tickets, updating them weekly
  • Coordinate all event requirements in advance by liaising with management, on-site staff, and maintenance personnel
  • Attend events to introduce performers and gather resident feedback for future event planning
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule with availability during evenings and weekends
