Sevita, with over 50 years of experience, has established itself as a leading organization committed to enabling people to live more full and independent lives regardless of their physical, intellectual, or behavioral challenges. The organization proudly serves over 50,000 individuals across the United States through its team of 40,000 dedicated employees who continuously innovate and enhance specialized healthcare and support services.
As part of this mission-driven organization, Mentor Community Services embraces the core belief that every individual has the right to live well and deserve a career that is fulfilling. Those who join the team not only contribute to meaningful outcomes for the individuals served but also experience professional satisfaction and growth in a supportive environment. The culture here fosters connection and motivation, with a focus on person-centered care and relationships that inspire and encourage daily excellence.
The Program Supervisor role at Mentor Community Services is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly supervisory position that is pivotal in maintaining the high standards the organization is known for. This position requires bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish and works a schedule from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with participation in an on-call rotation to address emergent situations. The role typically involves supervising a single program or unit within the organization, supporting between 4-8 individuals in residential settings or 10-15 in vocational or day programs.
This supervisory position balances direct support responsibilities with managerial tasks, providing hands-on care while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program. The Program Supervisor ensures the delivery of supports is aligned with person-centered plans, health care requirements, advocacy efforts, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves leadership and guidance of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and ensuring a safe, effective work environment.
Beyond the direct care and supervision dimension, the Program Supervisor manages financial elements such as purchasing, budget compliance, and safeguarding client funds. They also maintain stakeholder relationships, communicating effectively with families, case managers, and other involved parties to ensure quality and continuity of care. Monitoring living environments, ensuring maintenance, and overseeing vehicle safety are included responsibilities that contribute to overall service excellence.
This position offers a dynamic, rewarding opportunity for leaders passionate about making a difference to individuals with disabilities by ensuring high-quality, individualized care in a supportive team environment. Candidates with relevant experience, leadership skills, and dedication to service are welcomed to join a company that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment, committed to nondiscrimination based on any legally protected status.
