The Program Manager, Route Planner role at Brink's is a critical position based in Coppell, Texas, focused on optimizing and managing extensive routing plans for Brink's messengers who deliver cash and valuables to customers across the United States. This role involves planning approximately 1500 routes weekly, ensuring efficient and effective routes that align with specific service contracts. Reporting to the Planning and Scheduling Leader, the Program Manager is responsible for continuous improvement of route planning processes, collaborating closely with regional branches, customers, and internal teams including IT and schedulers.
Key responsibilities include driving regional route optimization initiatives by analyzing and improving route planning protocols, refining operational efficiencies, and managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or minimum of 2 years experience in supply chain or transportation planning
- Experience with analyzing route planning outputs and information
- 5+ years experience in supply chain planning software
- Experience with customer issue resolution
- Knowledge of route analysis and logistics
- Knowledge in supply chain analytics
- Masters degree or equivalent level of experience in supply chain planning

Job Duties
- Support the core team in identifying route optimization protocols and other issues to be addressed
- Drive continuous improvement in regional optimization through deep end-to-end understanding of regions serviced
- Define KPIs and design dashboards to track them throughout the project
- Help fix inaccurate customer information such as service windows and locations
- Set up the processes to update the route planning dashboards on a weekly basis
- Ensure route efficiency through appropriate interaction with market employees and route analysis
- Leverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and efficiency
- Maintain and provide quality customer service
- Maintain positive employee relations and work environment by creating a cooperative team atmosphere of employee engagement
- Maintain the highest level of integrity, dignity and standards both internally and externally, protecting Brink's reputation
