Job Description

Cleveland Clinic is a world-renowned healthcare institution recognized as one of the top hospitals in the United States. Founded with a mission to provide patient-first healthcare, it has grown into one of the most respected healthcare organizations globally, known for its compassionate care, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive medical services. The Clinic is committed to fostering an environment where caregivers feel supported, valued, and empowered to build rewarding careers. With a focus on innovation and excellence, it offers a collaborative workplace culture that promotes professional development and continuous learning.

The role of Program Manager III at the Cleveland Clinic's Langston Hughes Community Health and Education Center involves overseeing the operations and ongoing management of the Community Teaching Kitchen. This important position requires an individual who is passionate about healthcare and community engagement and who thrives in a dynamic environment that balances operational management with community outreach and education. The Program Manager III will be responsible for developing and implementing systems and processes to ensure the efficient daily operations of the kitchen while aligning with the larger healthcare goals of the Clinic.

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with one Saturday shift and two evening shifts monthly, supporting the programming needs and community events at the center. The role involves managing kitchen schedules, coordinating shared medical appointment activities, maintaining rigorous food safety and sterilization standards, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare safety and infection-prevention protocols. As a key liaison, the Program Manager III will interact regularly with leadership teams, clinicians, educators, patients, community members, and various stakeholders to drive the success of the teaching kitchen programs.

A successful candidate in this role will demonstrate strong leadership and mentorship abilities, providing coaching to team members while managing multiple priorities and projects under competing deadlines. Budget planning and financial oversight are crucial components of the role, ensuring that program goals are met within allocated resources. The Program Manager also plays a vital part in maintaining facility inspections and food service regulatory compliance.

The ideal caregiver will bring extensive experience in healthcare or related fields, supported by a strong educational background in business or healthcare administration. The Clinic values applicants who can combine operational expertise with excellent communication and presentation skills, strategic planning ability, and a commitment to community health and nutrition education. Preferred candidates may also have additional experience in dietetics, culinary arts, nutrition services, or hospitality, enhancing their capability to manage food service and dietary programs effectively.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $69,600 to $106,132.50, reflecting the candidate's experience, skills, and education. Alongside a competitive salary, Cleveland Clinic provides a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and vision insurance, retirement benefits, and opportunities for professional growth. This role offers a meaningful career path where the successful candidate can make a significant impact on community health outcomes while advancing within a leading healthcare institution.
