The role of Program Manager at BCD M&E is designed for those who love bringing complex events to life and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. As a Program Manager focused on life science meetings, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of events ranging from congress-based programs to standalone meetings engaging Healthcare Professionals, patients, colleagues, and speaker travel. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to manage budgets, logistics, compliance, attendee coordination, and timelines effectively. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills will be essential as you coordinate vendor contracts and resolve issues to keep programs on track. Familiarity with tools such as Cvent and Microsoft Office will support your ability to manage attendee data, reporting, and registration communications efficiently.
This position offers the opportunity to work virtually on Eastern Standard Time with flexibility that respects your work preferences. Job Requirements
- College degree
- minimum 5 years of experience in life science meetings management
- proficiency in Cvent and Microsoft Office
- experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
- strong communication and organizational skills
- ability to work virtually on Eastern Standard Time
- willingness to travel up to 25 percent annually
- knowledge of compliance and corporate event guidelines
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of life science meetings management experience especially with HCP programs
- experience supporting meetings connected to a congress or convention as well as standalone programs
- strong background in vendor management sourcing and contract negotiation
- previous experience with participant attendee management travel planning or destination knowledge
- college degree
- Cvent event certification
- ability to work virtually
Job Duties
- Manage life science meetings from kickoff to reconciliation including budgets attendee coordination logistics food and beverage room setups and technology needs
- build strong relationships with clients suppliers and internal teams while keeping communication clear proactive and professional
- navigate compliance requirements maintaining audit-ready documentation and following corporate guidelines and procedures
- use Cvent and Microsoft Office to manage attendee data reporting registration communications and shared project materials accurately
- negotiate supplier contracts coordinate vendors and solve issues quickly to keep programs on track
- coordinate speaker travel and accommodations
- ensure timely execution of event timelines and deliverables
