The opportunity available is for the role of Program Director within IDD Services. This leadership position is vital to the organization's success and mission-driven efforts. The Program Director is responsible for overseeing daily operations of one to four residential or community programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality direct supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role demands expertise in person-centered planning and implementation, healthcare coordination, advocacy, and compliance with regulatory standards. It also involves managing stakeholder relationships, recruiting and retaining skilled staff, conducting training, and overseeing safety protocols. Financial stewardship and maintenance of the physical environment are additional critical responsibilities.

Successful candidates will excel at managing program staff, including performance evaluation, scheduling, and orientation processes. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two to three years of related experience preferred
  • Equivalent education and experience accepted
  • Fulfill state-required licensure or certification
  • Possess current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Exhibit effective communication skills
  • Maintain reliability and compassion

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred
  • Two to three years of related experience in the human services industry preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification as required by state or applicable regulations
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills for relationship management

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations of one to four community programs including direct supports, person-centered planning and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment
  • Manage program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
  • Make recommendations and decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations
  • Manage implementation of program planning and monitor service delivery ensuring consistency, engagement, and relevance
  • Be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed
