The Program Director, IDD Services role at ResCare Community Living is a critical leadership position responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of one to four community-based programs. This role involves the organization and implementation of direct supports tailored to individual needs through detailed person-centered planning, health care, advocacy, and stakeholder relations. The Program Director ensures that regulatory compliance is maintained while overseeing essential functions such as recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and the maintenance of physical environments. This position requires strong performance management skills, including supervising program staff through evaluations, scheduling, and orientation. The Program Director plays an important role in making personnel decisions such as hiring, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, corrective actions, and terminations.

In addition to operational management, the Program Director monitors service delivery to guarantee that supports remain consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served. The role demands availability for on-call duties to support staff, manage coverage, or cover shifts as needed, demonstrating dedication and flexibility. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Two to three years of experience in human services preferred
  • Current driver's license required
  • Valid car registration and auto insurance
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Reliable and compassionate work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Education, training, licensure, or certification as per state requirements or regulations
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Compassionate and responsible attitude

Job Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four community programs including direct supports and person-centered planning
  • Manage program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
  • Make recommendations and decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations
  • Monitor delivery of services and supports to ensure consistency, engagement, and relevance
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, safety, financial management, and physical environment
  • Provide on-call support to staff, including coverage and shift management
  • Advocate and maintain stakeholder relations
