The role of Program Director for IDD Services at ResCare Community Living is pivotal in continuing the organization's successful impact. This leadership position involves managing the daily operations of one to four community-based programs, ensuring delivery of comprehensive, person-centered services that align with individual goals and regulatory standards. The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the organization and implementation of direct supports, healthcare plans, advocacy efforts, and maintaining stakeholder relations to build strong community partnerships. In addition, this role includes staff management encompassing recruitment, retention, training, performance evaluations, scheduling, and creating a safe, effective working environment.

This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently to meet deadlines and program objectives. The Program Director must also be prepared to provide on-call support, stepping in to assist staff with coverage or emergency needs as required. This position offers a salary starting at $45,011.20 per year and includes opportunities for full-time, part-time, or as-needed scheduling flexibility. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to three years of experience in human services preferred
  • Relevant state licensure or certification as applicable
  • Valid driver's license, car registration, and insurance
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Compassionate and responsible work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with two to three years of related experience in the human services industry preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Additional education, experience, training, licensure, or certification as required by state regulations
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills for managing relationships
  • Reliable, responsible attitude with a compassionate approach

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations of one to four community-based programs including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment
  • Manage program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
  • Make recommendations and decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations
  • Manage the implementation of program planning and monitor delivery of services and supports ensuring consistency, engagement, and relevance to individuals served
  • Be available on-call to support staff, find coverage, or cover shifts as needed
