The role of Program Director for IDD Services at REM Community Services is an opportunity for a driven professional to further their career in social and human services while playing a critical part in advancing the mission of the organization. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $46,600 to $59,000, commensurate with experience. As Program Director, the individual will manage the day-to-day operations of one to four community-based programs designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This involves overseeing direct support services, person-centered planning, healthcare coordination, advocacy efforts, and stakeholder relationships. This role requires ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing human resources functions including recruiting, retention, training, and performance evaluations, as well as maintaining the physical environment and financial accountability.
The Program Director will be entrusted with supervising program staff, conducting employee evaluations, and making key decisions related to hiring, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations. The ability to monitor service delivery, maintain a high standard of personalized support, and champion an engaging, relevant, and compassionate environment for individuals served is essential. This position also demands flexibility, including being available on-call to support staff needs.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two to three years of experience in human services preferred
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Ability to manage multiple programs and staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Availability to be on-call as needed
- Compliance with applicable state licensure and certification requirements
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the human services industry preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships
- A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
Job Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment
- Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
- Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations
- Manage the implementation of program planning
- monitor delivery of services and supports
- ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served
- Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed
