This role, Program Director for IDD Services, is critical to REM Community Services' ongoing success and aligns directly with the organization's mission. The Program Director will oversee the daily operations of one to up to four community programs that provide direct supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes ensuring that person-centered planning, healthcare, advocacy, and stakeholder relations operate seamlessly and effectively.
Responsibilities span staffing management, including hiring decisions, performance evaluations, scheduling, and training, to ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. Financial management and the upkeep of the physical environment of the programs are also essential duties. The Program Director will be responsible for making critical personnel decisions such as promotions, terminations, and corrective actions, all while cultivating an inclusive, engaging, and person-centered service atmosphere.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human services
- Two to three years of experience in the human services industry preferred
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Availability to be on-call to support staff and cover shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the human services industry preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships
- A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
Job Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment
- Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
- Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations
- Manage the implementation of program planning
- monitor delivery of services and supports
- ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served
- Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed
