As a Program Director within IDD Services at REM Community Services, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the day-to-day operations of multiple community programs tailored to the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time role offers a salary of $45,000 and requires a valid driver's license held for at least one year, with a clean Motor Vehicle Record in compliance with Sevita's insurability policies. The position involves multifaceted responsibilities such as organizing and implementing direct supports, managing person-centered planning, healthcare coordination, advocacy efforts, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance adherence, recruitment and retention of staff, training facilitation, safety assurance, financial administration, and maintaining the physical environment of the programs.

The Program Director is responsible for overseeing one to four programs within the community, ensuring that supports and services are delivered effectively and compassionately. This includes managing program staff by conducting performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and making personnel decisions such as hires, promotions, and terminations. The role requires consistent monitoring of service delivery to guarantee that individuals receive engaging and relevant support tailored to their unique needs.

Available for on-call support, the Program Director assists staff with coverage issues and urgent needs to maintain uninterrupted services. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, effective communication abilities to foster positive relationships, and a compassionate approach to leadership. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • manage day-to-day operations of one to four community programs including organizing and implementing direct supports, person-centered planning, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and physical environment maintenance
  • manage program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
  • make hiring, transfer, promotion, salary change, corrective action, and termination decisions
  • monitor implementation of program plans and service delivery ensuring consistency and relevance
  • provide on-call support to staff, assist with coverage or cover shifts as needed
