The role of Program Director, IDD Services at Mentor Community Services is a highly significant position where leadership, critical thinking, and compassion converge. Offering an annual salary of $70,304, this role is designed for experienced professionals seeking to advance their career in social and human services within a well-established and respected organization. As the Program Director, you will oversee the operations of one to four community programs focused on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes hands-on management of direct support services, person-centered planning, health care coordination, advocacy efforts, relationship-building with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your leadership will profoundly influence the quality and effectiveness of services provided, including recruitment, retention, and development of program staff.
The role demands a passionate individual committed to maintaining high standards through organizational skills and strategic financial management, while fostering a safe and nurturing environment for staff and those served. You will be responsible for staffing, training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations, as well as making key human resource decisions such as hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions. The role also includes an on-call responsibility to support staff and cover shifts as needed, highlighting the need for flexibility and dedication. Candidates for this position must have a strong foundation in human services, demonstrated through a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of Program Director experience. A valid driver’s license, car registration, and insurance are also required, as the role may involve travel and transportation responsibilities.

- Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or applicable regulations
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance

Job Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment
- Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
- Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations
- Manage the implementation of program planning
- monitor delivery of services and supports
- ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served
- Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed
