The CRAFT Scholars - Cultivating Resilience Through Agriculture and Food Training Program is an exemplary undergraduate scholarship initiative funded through grants until June 30, 2028. This full-time grant-funded position offers administrative support to the Program Director (PD), Co-PDs, and the Associate Dean, overseeing all facets of the program directed at supporting 30 scholars from low-income backgrounds. The program is designed to provide scholarship aid, academic support, and unique off-campus learning experiences in agricultural and food systems, ensuring participants gain comprehensive exposure beyond the classroom.
The Program Coordinator role is pivotal to the success of the CRAFT program, encompassing extensive responsibilities involving administrative, logistical, and budgetary coordination. The individual in this position will attend and document leadership and scholarship team meetings, maintain meticulous records, coordinate event promotions and marketing efforts in collaboration with university personnel, and ensure that program milestones are met on time. They will be responsible for organizing and managing travel arrangements for students, faculty, and visiting scientists, including flights, accommodations, and transportation to field sites and internships. Coordination with financial management departments ensures timely and accurate budget oversight, including expense report processing and budget allocation checks.
Moreover, the coordinator will manage communications and scheduling for the scholarship committee and help prepare annual reports by collecting relevant data such as receipts, demographic information, and evaluation outcomes. They will liaise with external evaluators to assist with scholar assessment activities and recruit scholarship candidates. This role demands advanced skills in MS Office, Workday, and online reporting systems, and excellent communication abilities to relay information clearly, both verbally and in writing. The position requires a bachelor's degree in any discipline, with a preference for a master’s degree in biology, ecology, agricultural science, or social science, coupled with 5-8 years of professional experience in related administrative or program coordination roles.

Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline is required
- A master's degree in Biology, Ecology, Agricultural Science, or Social Science is preferred
- 5-8 years of proven experience is required

Job Duties
- Provide administrative support to the PD, Barry CO-PIs, and Associate Dean
- Attend, record, and maintain minutes for leadership and scholarship team meetings
- Coordinate logistics of program activities including flyer creation and marketing collaborations
- Ensure planning milestones are met on time
- Assist in gathering information for annual reports including receipts and evaluation summaries
- Coordinate travel arrangements for students, faculty, and invited speakers
- Arrange transportation and logistics for field trips and internships
- Contact students and research programs to coordinate housing and relevant information
- Prepare travel arrangements and expense reports for visiting seminar speakers
- Collect event feedback from participants
- Submit marketing tickets or collaborate with Marketing liaison to update the program website
- Help manage budgetary matters including budget expenditure checks and allocation requests
- Enter financial information into Workday
- Collect scholar progress information and schedule scholarship committee meetings
