Known for its compassionate and person-centered approach, the Advocacy and Resource Center has built a reputation as a trusted provider of innovative programs that promote personal growth and enhance quality of life for the people it serves.
The Advocacy and Resource Center is currently seeking an energetic, motivated, and caring individual to join their team as a Program Coordinator. This full-time position plays a crucial role in the organization by developing, maintaining, and coordinating personalized habilitation plans that foster independence and help individuals reach their goals. The Program Coordinator will work directly with individuals receiving services to support goal development and ensure the implementation of effective plans that align with the unique needs and outcomes of each person.
As a Program Coordinator, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for communicating plan updates and changes to relevant staff and departments, maintaining clear documentation, and facilitating collaboration among individuals, staff, and service providers. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent written communication skills. Candidates new to writing habilitation plans are encouraged to apply, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure success in this vital position.
This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities, guiding them toward greater independence and personal growth. The Advocacy and Resource Center values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce. The organization also qualifies as a public service loan forgiveness employer, highlighting its focus on supporting employees in their career and financial goals.
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field, along with a minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A clean, valid New York State Driver’s License is required due to the nature of the job, which involves coordination and communication across various settings and teams. The Advocacy and Resource Center offers a generous benefits package including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, vacation time, parental leave, life and cancer insurance, and a retirement plan with employer match. This role represents an incredible opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in human services while making a significant positive difference in their community.
