Job Description
Pillars of Prospect Park, opened in 2020, is a modern senior living community located conveniently near the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus routes near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This vibrant community comprises two buildings that feature a total of 133 independent living apartments, 106 assisted living apartments, and 44 memory care apartments, making it a comprehensive residence catering to seniors with varying levels of care needs. A unique aspect of this community is the inclusion of an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center, promoting interaction and social engagement across generations. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator, the Pillars of Prospect Park benefits from the extensive resources, care expertise, and well-established reputation of its parent organization. Ebenezer is committed to supporting their communities through a mission-driven culture that emphasizes healing, discovery, and education to enable longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives for seniors.
The Program and Partner Coordinator role offered at Pillars of Prospect Park is a crucial position focused on enriching the lives of residents through thoughtfully designed programs and meaningful community partnerships. This full-time position, requiring 64 hours every two weeks with a weekend rotation, offers generous benefits and competitive hourly compensation ranging from $24.08 to $34.01. The coordinator is primarily responsible for developing, planning, and implementing high-quality programs that holistically address the physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and occupational needs of residents and prospects. Working closely with the Life Enrichment Director and the Life Enrichment department, the individual in this role maximizes the quality of life for seniors through partnerships with the University of Minnesota, contracted professionals, volunteers, and internal student residents. The role involves active coordination, scheduling, and communication efforts to ensure smooth delivery of all activities and engagement initiatives.
The coordinator also plays a vital role in managing the calendars, newsletters, and community-wide communications by collaborating with various internal stakeholders and the marketing team. This ensures that program information is effectively promoted to both current residents and prospective individuals, facilitating community engagement and participation. A significant aspect of the role includes the comprehensive coordination of community volunteers and the Student Resident Housing Program, which entails recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing volunteers while maintaining robust policies and procedures to support quality service standards. Managing student residents involves onboarding, training, fostering involvement, tracking hours, and encouraging innovative program development driven by the students themselves.
Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for nurturing ongoing and new partnerships with the University of Minnesota and other community organizations. This includes coordinating meetings, handling schedules, and ensuring hands-on implementation of collaborative programs that support both educational and clinical efforts such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and dental school initiatives. The role extends support to the Marketing Department by organizing community events, assisting with tours through detailed program explanations, and aiding in marketing efforts to attract prospective residents and cultivate new community initiatives. This position offers an enriching opportunity for professionals committed to senior care with a passion for community collaboration and innovative program development within an esteemed senior living operator’s network.
