The role of the Professional Development and Student Affiliation Coordinator is integral to supporting the educational and developmental objectives of Community Hospice. This position focuses on the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of educational programs, training events, and student affiliation initiatives. By fostering effective collaboration between internal departments and external educational partners, the coordinator ensures seamless program delivery that reflects the organization’s high standards of quality and care. The coordinator manages all aspects of student placements, including internships, clinical rotations, and observational experiences, ensuring alignment with educational institutions and internal clearance protocols. Additionally, the role involves meticulous planning and execution of training sessions, workshops, and special events that cater to diverse audiences. The coordinator is responsible for logistical management, vendor coordination, resource allocation, and evaluation of program effectiveness through feedback and reporting mechanisms. Furthermore, maintaining educational resources, tracking program-related finances, and supporting organizational initiatives are critical components of this multifaceted position. This full-time, on-site position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Jacksonville, FL location, offering a competitive base salary of $22 to $25 per hour alongside a comprehensive benefits package including 23 days of annual paid time off. Job Requirements

  • Current State of Florida driver’s license with driving record acceptable to Community Hospice insurance carrier
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
  • Typical qualifications would be equivalent to possession of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event coordination, administrative support or a related field
  • Experience in a healthcare or educational environment preferred
  • Experience supporting training or continuing education programs preferred

Job Duties

  • Coordinate student affiliation activities including internships clinical rotations and observational experiences
  • Facilitate agreements and required documentation with educational institutions and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure student onboarding and clearance requirements are met
  • Schedule and coordinate student placements with appropriate staff and preceptors
  • Plan organize and execute training sessions workshops and events for various audiences
  • Develop event plans including logistics timelines resource allocation and vendor coordination
  • Evaluate program and event effectiveness through feedback tools and reporting
  • Support communication and promotional efforts for educational programs
  • Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies including tracking usage and ordering
  • Process and track program-related expenses and financial documentation
  • Maintain schedules for training facilities equipment and shared resources
  • Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as needed
