The Baker role is essential to the success of our bakery department. Bakers work closely with the Bakery Manager to assist in pricing, merchandising, and inventory management to ensure our products are appealing and accessible to customers. It is vital that the individual in this role thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, possesses excellent customer interaction skills, and demonstrates adaptability to varying work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position requires standing for extended periods, handling moderate physical tasks, and using bakery tools such as knives and scales safely and accurately. Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or relevant combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and adaptable with flexible scheduling availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Be able to take special orders over the phone
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintain sanitation standards
  • Operate bakery equipment safely including knives and scales
  • Be capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights as required
  • Comply with all safety, health, and food handling regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or relevant educational background
  • Demonstrate dependability and adaptability to flexible schedules

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items including cookies, bread, and muffins
  • Assist the Bakery Manager with pricing, packaging, and merchandising bakery products
  • Provide exceptional customer service and take special orders over the phone
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery equipment and work areas
  • Ensure accurate pricing and proper stock rotation, discarding outdated items
  • Receive, inspect, and manage incoming product shipments
  • Operate bakery equipment safely and follow all health and safety regulations
