Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
  • reliable and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • friendly attitude and positive demeanor
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to take special orders and perform housekeeping duties
  • ability to use bakery equipment and maintain product accuracy
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift items
  • adherence to safety regulations and possession of a food handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of bakery experience or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • reliability and flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • friendly demeanor and excellent customer interaction skills
  • good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • ability to use knives, scales, wrappers, and other bakery equipment effectively
  • ability to maintain accurate product weights and labels
  • adherence to safety and health regulations
  • possession of a food handlers permit
  • physical ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and perform physical tasks including lifting trays and moving items

Job Duties

  • supporting the bakery manager in the preparation, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising of all baked items
  • delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring that bakery products are prepared, packaged, and displayed to the highest standards while maintaining cleanliness
  • keeping the bakery area and equipment clean and sanitary, which includes cleaning shelves, products, and ensuring the workspace is hazard-free
  • stocking and organizing bakery items, ensuring pricing accuracy, and discarding outdated or spoiled products
  • receiving, inspecting, and logging deliveries to ensure product quality and accuracy
  • taking special orders and performing general housekeeping duties in the bakery
  • adhering to safety and health regulations while maintaining a food handlers permit
