With a rich history spanning nearly a century, Uwajimaya has cultivated an environment that celebrates food, culture, and people, making it a beloved institution in the communities it serves. The company takes pride not only in its products but in creating a unique and enriching experience for customers and employees alike, emphasizing connection, curiosity, and collaboration. This is reflected in their inclusive and friendly work culture, competitive wages, and opportunities for growth and advancement.

The role of Production Worker at Uwajimaya's Central Kitchen is an integral part of the company's food manufacturing operations. This position involves performing a variety of tasks on the production line designed to ensure high-quality food products are prepared and packaged efficiently and safely. As a Production Worker, you will prepare ingredients, operate production equipment, package finished products, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout your shift. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to product quality and safety by rigorously following food safety protocols including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards, and allergen control procedures.

Uwajimaya values employees who are action-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to continuous self-development. The company fosters a supportive team environment where collaboration and peer relationships are key to meeting daily production goals. Employees in this role receive comprehensive benefits from day one, including excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid holidays, a generous retirement plan, paid time off, and employee discounts. Starting pay for this position ranges from $22.44 to $27.46 per hour depending on experience, highlighting Uwajimaya's commitment to competitive compensation.

Uwajimaya also emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in its hiring practices, making it a workplace where a wide range of individuals can thrive and contribute to the company’s ongoing success. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is interested in playing a key role in producing high-quality food products within a respected Asian retail establishment. Whether you are starting your career or bringing previous experience in food manufacturing or warehousing, Uwajimaya offers a nurturing environment where your skills are valued and your professional growth is supported.
