Job Description

UniFirst is a recognized leader in the garment services industry, boasting a rich history and an impressive footprint across North America and Europe. As an international company with over 14,000 dedicated team partners, UniFirst provides garment and floor mat rental services to more than 300,000 business customer locations. Operating within an $18 billion-dollar industry, the company prides itself on blending a close-knit family culture with the benefits and stability typically associated with a major corporation. What makes UniFirst unique is its strong emphasis on community and diversity, fostering an inclusive workplace where individuals from various backgrounds and cultures can thrive. The company has been honored on prominent lists such as Selling Power magazine's "Best Companies to Sell For" and Forbes magazine's "Platinum 400 – Best Big Companies." This legacy and commitment to growth make UniFirst an exceptional place to build a career, where team members are valued, respected, and provided with ample opportunities to grow and develop professionally.

The Production Team Partner role at UniFirst is an exciting opportunity for individuals who take pride in being reliable and hardworking members of a team. Team Partners in the Production Department play a crucial part in ensuring that customer orders, including floor mats and other articles, are accurately prepared and packaged for delivery. This role offers a structured 5-day work week with weekends off, providing an ideal work-life balance. It includes immediate openings and comprehensive on-the-job training designed to help new hires become proficient quickly, regardless of prior experience. Team Partners also benefit from ongoing cross-training opportunities, enabling exposure to multiple areas within production. This cross-functional training not only enriches employees' skills but also supports their career advancement prospects, with many managers rising through the ranks after starting on the production floor.

In this position, the successful candidate will engage in tasks such as bundling, packaging, rolling articles, handling flat good orders, and selecting items based on specific criteria like style and color. Attention to detail is key, as products are visually inspected to meet quality standards, ensuring they are free from defects such as tears, holes, stains, or excessive moisture. Team Partners are also required to comply with all safety protocols, including HACCP and medical guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues. The role demands physical stamina with the ability to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift and to lift weights ranging between 15 to 30 pounds. The estimated pay ranges from $15.50 to $16.78 per hour, varying based on experience and location.

UniFirst values diversity and maintains a workplace culture that fosters belonging and mutual respect. The company offers numerous benefits, including health insurance, a company-matched 401K, profit sharing, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to join a growing company that promotes career development while providing a supportive environment and competitive compensation.
