Job Description

UniFirst is a prominent leader in the garment services industry, known internationally for its comprehensive uniform rental and facility service solutions. With a rich history spanning over 80 years, UniFirst has firmly established itself as a $2 billion enterprise operating in the $18 billion garment services market. Serving over 300,000 business locations across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, the company prides itself on blending the advantages of a large, stable organization with the culture and feel of a small company. This unique blend fosters a sense of family among the more than 14,000 team partners who contribute daily to UniFirst's continued growth and success. As a company recognized by prestigious publications such as Selling Power magazine's "Best Companies to Sell For" and Forbes magazine's "Platinum 400 - Best Big Companies," UniFirst offers a trustworthy and enriching work environment where career development is not just encouraged but thrives.

The company operates with a staunch commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment. UniFirst's inclusive work culture values individuals of all backgrounds, races, genders, and identities, making it a welcoming environment for anyone seeking a meaningful career. Candidates who require accommodations due to medical conditions or disabilities will find support during the application process. UniFirst has also taken a strong public stance against fraudulent job practices, safeguarding job seekers from requests for sensitive financial information during recruitment.

The Production Team Partner role at UniFirst is an exciting, hands-on position within their Production Department. This role centers on the crucial task of managing soiled products collected from service trucks, which marks the beginning of the production process each morning. Working as part of a team, partners collaborate closely to unload, sort, weigh, and temporarily store these products until they move on to the next stage of cleaning and refurbishment. This position demands reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a physically active environment.

Joining as a Production Team Partner means joining a team that values continuous learning and cross-training opportunities. Employees receive ongoing training across various production areas, broadening their skill sets and supporting their professional growth. The company recognizes the importance of work-life balance, offering a five-day work week with weekends off, superior to many in the manufacturing sector. In addition, UniFirst places a strong emphasis on promoting from within, with many current managers having started their journey on the production floor. This creates a clear progression path and motivation for team members seeking long-term career advancement.

Compensation for this role includes competitive hourly pay coupled with benefits such as a 401K plan with company match, profit sharing, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and various employee incentives. The company also offers an employee assistance program to support team members through life’s challenges, a direct payroll deposit system for convenience, a 30% employee discount, and referral bonuses for bringing new talent into the UniFirst family.

Overall, this position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, value being part of a collaborative team, and want to grow their career within a reputable and supportive company culture. UniFirst's dedication to quality, employee well-being, and community makes this an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to start or continue a career in the garment and production service industry.
