Job Description

UniFirst is a globally recognized leader in the garment services industry, operating within an $18 billion market. With a workforce exceeding 16,000 team partners, UniFirst services over 300,000 business customer locations in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The company has earned accolades such as placing in the top 10 on Selling Power magazine's 'Best Companies to Sell For' list and recognition in Forbes magazine's 'Platinum 400 – Best Big Companies' list. A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities is at the core of UniFirst's values, ensuring a welcoming environment for individuals of all backgrounds. UniFirst is steadfast in following anti-discrimination laws and providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities during the hiring process.

UniFirst is currently seeking a Production Team Partner in their Pre-Tunnel Inspection Department. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality assurance of garments processed through the company's advanced steam tunnel system. As a Production Team Partner, individuals will join a collaborative team environment where attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high standards are vital. This role offers a consistent 5-day work week with weekends off, promoting a healthy work-life balance. New hires will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, allowing them to develop their skills and grow professionally within the company. Hourly pay is competitive and coupled with substantial benefits such as a 401K plan with company match, profit sharing opportunities, health insurance, and more.

The responsibilities of the Production Team Partner encompass inspecting garments meticulously for any defects like tears, holes, stains, or damages to ensure they meet UniFirst's rigorous 20-point uniform inspection process. The candidate will engage in counting garments, hanging them appropriately to process through the steam tunnel, and ensuring compliance with safety policies including HACCP and medical guidelines. This team member must also be adaptable, ready to perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management. UniFirst values career progression, promoting many of its managers from within the ranks, providing pathways for motivated employees to advance.

In addition to career growth, UniFirst offers ongoing cross-training programs to broaden team partners' expertise across different production areas, enhancing their overall performance and career potential. The company culture is family-oriented, fostering a friendly, supportive, and diverse workplace atmosphere where everyone's voice is valued and respected. UniFirst's dedication to employee well-being extends beyond work, with benefits such as employee assistance programs, life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee referral bonuses making it an attractive employer for those seeking stability and growth in the garment services sector.
