The role of Production Technician II at Particle Measuring Systems is integral to the production team’s success. This position involves the precise alignment and calibration of instruments used in the company’s product lines, with an emphasis on laser and optical systems. The Production Technician II will apply their expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and program printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies, ensuring each product meets the highest standards of reliability and innovation. This role requires close collaboration with both immediate colleagues and cross-functional teams, embodying professional excellence and a commitment to quality. The individual will be responsible for training others in their domain of expertise and actively participating in continuous improvement efforts related to manufacturing processes, product quality, and workplace safety. Given the company’s focus on cutting-edge technology in particle monitoring, the Production Technician II must have strong problem-solving abilities and be comfortable following detailed technical procedures and schematics. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Niwot, Colorado, offering an hourly wage between $26 and $30 depending on experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. Job Requirements

  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent
  • Able to read and follow written, graphic and pictorial procedures
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to read analog and digital circuit schematic diagrams
  • Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong customer focus

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent
  • Able to read and follow written, graphic and pictorial procedures
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to read analog and digital circuit schematic diagrams
  • Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office suite

  • Six months of related experience in a manufacturing environment

Job Duties

  • Perform laser and optic alignment and calibration of instruments in a product family
  • Use logical troubleshooting techniques to repair instruments in a product family
  • Program and troubleshoot PCB assemblies
  • Train others in those operations where designated as qualified
  • Identify and segregate report trends and provide disposition recommendations for non-conforming materials
  • Maintain quality documents to ensure process flow and control
  • Follow policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
  • Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety
