Job Description
Universal Pure is a leading company in the food industry dedicated to providing safe, fresh, and delicious food and drink products to consumers worldwide. Specializing in high-pressure processing (HPP), value-added services (VAS), and cold storage solutions, Universal Pure partners with various food manufacturers to ensure their products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. The company thrives on a commitment to safety, driven by exceptional service and operational excellence. Universal Pure operates in the food manufacturing sector and offers a variety of roles across manufacturing, production, warehouse, and factory environments.
This position is for a Production Team Member who will operate primarily in the cold storage warehouse environment, with all necessary protective gear provided to ensure comfort and safety in cold conditions. The role offers the opportunity to work in various shifts within the VAS production area, including the first and second shifts on weekdays, as well as three available shifts in the HPP processing area. The Production Team Member will perform tasks such as packing and unpacking products, loading and unloading cylinders for the HPP machines, stacking and building pallets, labeling and code dating products, sanitation tasks, and other duties as assigned by supervisors. This role supports the food manufacturing process by ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Working at Universal Pure means becoming part of a team that values people development, internal career growth, and a culture built on caring, collaboration, and respect. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP); a 401(k) plan with company matching; paid vacation and holidays that start accruing immediately; multiple medical plans including PPO and High Deductible Health Plans; and voluntary insurance plans that cover disability, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and life insurance. Universal Pure's culture supports employees working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment with a dedication to quality and teamwork.
Candidates hired for this role must be comfortable working in a refrigerated environment with temperatures around 34 degrees Fahrenheit and able to sustain physical demands including repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long shifts of 10 to 12 hours. The ability to perform basic mental math and communicate effectively in English is essential, along with experience or familiarity with refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environments and material handling equipment such as forklifts. Universal Pure emphasizes equal opportunity employment practices and the need for candidates to pass a drug screening test as part of the hiring process. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the food manufacturing industry who want to grow their careers in a supportive and dynamic company.
