The Production Supervisor role at the Slag Plant is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire slag production process. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of equivalent experience
- Commitment to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment including respirators
- Ability to pass respirator fit tests requiring clean-shaven face
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotational shifts with 4 days on and 4 days off schedule
- Minimal travel requirements
- Adherence to company health, safety, and environmental standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in quality control, manufacturing, or production preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and personal protective equipment use
- Ability to manage shift work and meet demanding production schedules
Job Duties
- Monitor slag production processes to ensure consistent quality and compliance with specifications
- Adjust production schedules and optimize workflow to meet daily targets and deadlines
- Identify and address production bottlenecks or issues to minimize downtime
- Oversee the collection, transportation, and storage of slag materials
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies
- Lead and manage a team to maintain efficient and safe operations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process
