CSU Monterey Bay's culinary services play a vital role in supporting the campus community by providing high-quality food production and dining experiences. As part of this vibrant college community, the Production Supervisor position is an integral role within the food services team, contributing significantly to maintaining food quality, safety, and operational efficiency in the kitchen.

The Production Supervisor role at CSU Monterey Bay is a full-time position, situated at the 100 Campus Center, Building 16 in Seaside, CA 93955. This position requires immediate hiring and follows a Monday through Friday schedule with variable hours, including weekends, to accommodate the needs of the campus dining services. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $23.00 to $23.50. Ensuring the cleanliness of all kitchen workspaces, including food and non-food areas, is a critical responsibility to maintain health and safety standards. The Production Supervisor must also manage equipment issues by reporting necessary repairs or maintenance promptly to the appropriate parties.

A pivotal aspect of this role is to supervise team members in the absence of the Sous Chef. This includes training and disciplining associates when necessary and scheduling shifts to optimize kitchen workflow. The role demands previous culinary expertise and prior supervisory experience, emphasizing leadership and operational skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Candidates in this position will find themselves contributing to a dynamic team committed to delivering excellent food service, with opportunities for growth and development within the organization.

They ensure all candidates are treated equitably regardless of race, national origin, gender, age, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity. The company provides various benefits such as training, retirement plans, health and wellness programs, and identity theft protection. These offerings reflect their ongoing investment in employee well-being and professional advancement. Furthermore, the company maintains a drug-free workplace and complies with all legal requirements regarding fair hiring and employment practices.

This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a supervisory position within a culinary setting and who enjoy working in an educational institution environment.
