The Production Supervisor role at Nestle Health Science is vital to ensuring employee safety, maintaining product quality, and optimizing asset performance within a 12-hour rotating shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM. Serving as a key leader on the production floor, the Production Supervisor manages the day-to-day production schedule while enforcing adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and quality standards. By actively participating in hiring, onboarding, and performance management, the supervisor ensures the development and competency of their team. Job Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience
- 1-3 years prior production supervisory experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel intermediate level
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong aptitude for building personal relationships
- Adaptability to varied tasks and priorities
- Proven ability to tailor communication styles
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to set effective objectives
- Physical capacity to lift 15-20 lb boxes repeatedly and stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of prior production supervisory experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and software quickly
- Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and coach
- Skilled in tailoring communication styles for different audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills
- Capacity to set effective and challenging objectives
Job Duties
- Ensure the timely implementation of the people development plan and verify team competencies according to the project manager's plan
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure processes comply with SOPs and environmental protocols
- Achieve quality objectives through adherence to GMPs, conducting audits, and product inspections
- Monitor and enforce personnel hygiene and safety practices, coaching employees to meet job requirements
- Review daily target achievements, report deviations, and develop action plans for continuous improvement
- Ensure continuous line control and take corrective actions to maintain quality standards and comply with regulations
- Coordinate with quality, engineering, and administration to maintain facilities and prioritize maintenance tasks
