Job Description
The hiring company is a reputable manufacturing firm specializing in the production of high-quality automotive components that are installed on customers' vehicles. This company operates with a commitment to world-class quality standards, adhering strictly to industry certifications such as IATF16949 and ISO 14001, and prioritizes safety and efficiency in its manufacturing processes. They are looking to fill the position of Production Supervisor for their C shift. This role is critical in overseeing the production process to ensure products meet stringent quality standards and are delivered in a timely manner while maintaining a safe workplace environment for all team members. The Production Supervisor works closely with Plant Management and various team members to ensure production schedules align with staffing and resource allocation. The company values employees who are team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
The Production Supervisor on the C shift will be responsible for supervising production operations during Friday through Monday shifts, working hours that include early mornings and late nights to cover a critical part of the production cycle. This role commands a competitive wage rate of $24.51 per hour, including a 7.5% shift premium. The supervisor's primary goal is to ensure all production activities adhere to the established build schedules while upholding quality control plans and company policies. The position entails ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations including OSHA and internal safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness, and being hands-on and visible on the production floor for at least 85% of the work time. The supervisor must ensure product traceability, proper equipment operation, and manage nonconformities through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Additional duties include staff scheduling, maintaining effective communication across departments, enforcing attendance and disciplinary protocols, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to candidates possessing further education or an associate degree. Experience as a production lead or supervisor in manufacturing, especially in automotive production, is highly valued. Candidates should also possess a valid driver’s license and demonstrate proficiency with computers and problem-solving skills. This position is suitable for individuals who thrive in dynamic manufacturing environments and are committed to leadership, quality production, and workplace safety.
